Job summary

Job description

Oversee the overall operations, business development and project management of the Company, ensuring smooth and efficient day-to-day operations.

Develop and implement business strategies, annual operating plans and growth initiatives to achieve revenue, profitability and business objectives.

Lead business development activities, project tendering, commercial negotiations and key client relationships.

Identify new business opportunities, monitor market trends and develop strategies to strengthen the Company's market position.

Oversee construction projects from planning to completion, including project progress, cost, quality, safety, resources and subcontractor management.

Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and in compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.

Oversee procurement and supply chain activities, including supplier selection, cost negotiation, material sourcing and delivery to support project requirements.

Oversee HR, administration, finance, taxation and regulatory compliance in accordance with Malaysian laws and requirements.

Manage budgets, cash flow, project collections, expenses and overall financial performance, ensuring effective cost and financial control.

Maintain strong relationships with shareholders, clients, government authorities, consultants, contractors, suppliers and other key stakeholders.

Lead and develop the management team, establish clear performance objectives and improve overall operational efficiency.

Establish and strengthen internal policies, procedures and controls to support effective and compliant business operations.

Identify and manage key business, project, financial, contractual and compliance risks, and take timely corrective actions when required.

Provide regular business and project performance updates to senior management and shareholders, together with recommendations on key operational matters.

Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor's Degree or above in Construction, Civil Engineering, Engineering Management or related fields.

Minimum 8 years of relevant experience, preferably in the construction industry.

Strong experience in business management, project management and team leadership.

Good knowledge of the Malaysian construction industry and relevant regulations.

Strong business development, tendering, negotiation and client management skills.

Strong commercial awareness, cost control and risk management capabilities.

Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.

Proficient in Chinese and English to effectively communicate with Chinese shareholders, management and business partners.

Able to work independently and manage multiple projects and teams.

Willing to work in the Malaysian construction and business environment.
