Job summary

Deutsche Post DHL Group in Malaysia is seeking a Gateway Operations Supervisor to lead a rostered team responsible for ensuring shipments enter and exit the country safely and in line with procedures.

You will optimize warehouse processes, monitor performance, develop KPIs with your team and drive cost-conscious, high-quality service while enforcing security measures and supporting career development.

Qualifications

• Diploma (or equivalent) with 2-3 years operations experience, preferably within transportation or logistics.
• Line Trainer certified.
• First Aid certified.
• IATA Dangerous Goods Acceptance Certification.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a gateway operations team on a rostered shift basis ensuring shipments enter and exit the country in a safe and secure manner.
• Manage the warehouse process and ensure that all shipments are processed efficiently and transferred to the dedicated movement per service standards.
• Monitor ground handler and warehouse performance and complete all necessary reports.
• Coordinate equipment checks to initiate proactive maintenance in cases of potential failure.
• Develop KPIs with team members and monitor individual performance.
• Plan and manage the manning levels to attain productivity targets and meet business requirements.
• Evaluate procedures and methods to achieve optimum service and cost performance; participate in gateway quality policy and initiatives.
• Monitor operations to ensure service procedures and performance standards are met.
• Enforce shipment security measures and controls.
• Develop a culture of quality, service excellence, flexibility and cost consciousness.
• Identify training needs and career development opportunities to drive a high-performance team.
• Develop KPIs with team members and monitor individual performance.

• Develop KPIs with team members and monitor individual performance process.
• Plan and manage the manning levels to attain productivity targets and to meet business requirements.
• Evaluates procedures and methods to achieve optimum service and cost performance; participates in Gateway quality policy and initiatives.

Qualifications

• Typically requires Diploma (or equivalent) 2-3 years operations experience, preferably within transportation or logistics industry
