Job summary

Schneider Electric is seeking a proactive People Operations Intern (Japanese Speaker) to support HR Service Delivery for East Asia employees from Malaysia. You will collaborate with HR Operations and Payroll to manage onboarding, data, payroll, and benefits, while driving process improvements and ensuring compliance.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed Bachelor’s degree in HR/Business Admin, or related field.
• Business-level Japanese language (written and spoken) required, with good English communication.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills; ability to prioritize tasks.
• Detail-oriented with analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with HR systems, digital tools, or process improvement methodologies is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support HR Service Delivery operations for East Asia employees from Malaysia.
• Assist HR Operations and Payroll teams with onboarding, offboarding, and data management.
• Handle time and attendance, leave administration, payroll processing, and compliance activities.
• Administer employee benefits programs and respond to benefits inquiries.
• Ensure compliance with local labor laws and HR regulations.
• Address employee inquiries via ticketing system and ensure timely resolutions.
• Identify process improvements and promote standardized HR processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve service delivery efficiency.
• Participate in ad hoc HR projects as required.
