We are looking for an HR & Admin Intern who is eager to gain practical experience in a cross-border manufacturing and engineering environment. You will work closely with senior HR colleagues and receive guidance in recruitment, employee administration, attendance, payroll support, and general office administration. As the role involves regular communication with our China Headquarters, proficiency in Mandarin is required.
Key responsibilities
Assist with job postings, resume screening and interview coordination
Support new employee onboarding and orientation
Prepare and organise personnel files, HR forms and employment documents
Update employee records, attendance and leave information
Respond to basic employee enquiries under HR guidance
Collect and verify monthly attendance data for payroll preparation
Assist with staff engagement activities and company events
Support the preparation and tracking of work permit, Employment Pass and visa applications
Assist with EPF, SOCSO, EIS and other statutory documentation
Provide general administrative and office support
About you
Currently pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management or a related field
Proficient in Mandarin, English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin is essential for communication with China Headquarters
Competent in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Detail-oriented, responsible and willing to learn
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Able to maintain confidentiality when handling employee information
No previous working experience required
Basic knowledge of Malaysian employment laws and statutory requirements is an advantage
Practical exposure to HR operations and administration
Experience supporting recruitment, onboarding, attendance and payroll processes
Understanding of Malaysian statutory requirements and work permit administration
