Job summary

Forum Hotel on Penang Island is seeking a dedicated Front Office Customer Service professional for a full-time role. You will be the first point of contact for guests, greeting arrivals and checking them in with warmth and professionalism, helping to shape a memorable stay.

You will handle reservations, provide information on facilities, local attractions and dining, process payments, coordinate with housekeeping, and support other front office colleagues while upholding health and safety

Qualifications

• Experience in a front office or guest services role in a hotel or similar environment.
• Strong English communication skills, written and verbal.
• Experience with hotel management systems and reservation software is advantageous.
• Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
• Customer-focused, friendly and professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests on arrival and check them in efficiently with warmth and professionalism.
• Process reservations, amendments and cancellations using the hotel management system.
• Provide information about facilities, local attractions and dining options.
• Handle inquiries and concerns; escalate issues when necessary.
• Coordinate with housekeeping for timely room preparation.
• Process payments and manage front desk cash floats and accounting procedures.
• Assist with telephone and email inquiries from guests and travel agents.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the front office area.
• Support other front office staff and departments to ensure seamless operations.
• Follow health, safety and security protocols.
