Job summary

The Prestige Hotel in George Town, Penang, is seeking a Guest Service Assistant to join our Front Office & Guest Services team. This full-time role greets guests, handles reservations, and provides local information to ensure memorable stays.

You will be the first point of contact, delivering warm, professional service while coordinating with housekeeping and other departments to meet guest needs. Fresh graduates are welcome, with a Diploma/ Degree in Hospitality or related field preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills in English and additional languages are a plus.
• Customer-focused mindset with a positive and professional attitude.
• Proactive approach to problem-solving and reliability.
• Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and provide warm, efficient check-in service.
• Handle inquiries and requests promptly to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Process reservations, modifications and cancellations in the PMS.
• Provide information on hotel facilities, local attractions, and dining in George Town.
• Coordinate concierge services including restaurant bookings and transport.
• Manage guest concerns with empathy and swift resolutions.
• Maintain guest records with data confidentiality.
• Assist with checkout and process payments courteously.
• Collaborate with housekeeping and other departments to meet guest needs.
• Perform front desk admin duties and maintain a tidy reception area.
