Job summary

Southern Transport & Logistics Sdn Bhd seeks a proactive Freight Forwarding/Customer Service professional to manage daily import/export operations and documentation. You will coordinate with customers, carriers and agents to ensure timely bookings, status updates and accurate paperwork.

The role requires 2+ years in freight/logistics, good English and Bahasa Malaysia, and the ability to work independently and within a team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in freight forwarding / logistics / shipping / customer service operations.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Experience in import/export documentation and shipment coordination is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of freight forwarding procedures and shipping documentation.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to communicate in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Computer literate and familiar with Microsoft Office.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good follow-up skills, organized and able to manage multiple tasks.
• Responsible, proactive and customer-oriented.
• Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Handle daily customer service and operations activities for import/export shipments.
• Coordinate with customers, shipping lines, airlines, hauliers, overseas agents and other service providers.
• Prepare and follow up on shipping documents, quotations, invoices and shipment-related paperwork.
• Monitor shipment status and provide timely updates to customers.
• Coordinate bookings, pick-up/delivery arrangements and shipment schedules.
• Liaise with internal departments to ensure smooth shipment operations.
• Handle customer enquiries, requests and complaints professionally.
• Ensure all shipments are handled accurately and within the required timeline.
• Perform other duties related to freight forwarding operations as assigned.
