Job summary

DHL Asia Pacific Shared Services Sdn Bhd is seeking a Transport Planner to coordinate load plans and ensure timely truck availability across regions. You will liaise with SOP teams and transporters to optimize daily movements and reporting, contributing to reliable service delivery.

The role requires 1–2 years in transport management or warehousing, knowledge of air and sea freight, and strong computer literacy.

Qualifications

1–2 years of related experience in transport management or warehousing.
Knowledge of Air and Sea Freight.
Proficient with basic computer applications and TMS systems.

Responsibilities

Prepare load plans upon receipt of Order details from SOP team.
Disseminate load plans to transporters according to the region.
Ensure 100% truck availability; source backup adhoc trucks if needed.
Follow up with transporters for timely loading arrivals.
Update the Daily Movement board based on daily plan.
Update the TMS daily with trips, redelivery, waiting charges, cancellations.
Verify export invoices against permits prepared by customers.
Work closely with drivers and transporters to maximise customer satisfaction.
Report transport failures and discrepancies to your supervisor and record in the DMR.
Perform any other duties as assigned by superiors.

About Us:

Key Responsibilities:

To prepare load plans upon receipt of Order details from SOP team.
To prepare and disseminate the load plans to transporters according to the region.
To ensure 100% truck availability based on the request. If there’s any turn down, source out the backup adhoc truck accordingly without jeopardizing the load.
To ensure proper follow-up with all the transporters for timely arrival for loading.
To ensure the ‘Daily Movement’ board is updated promptly based on the plan for the day.
To update the TMS on daily basis – daily trip / re-delivery trip / waiting chargers / cancellation.
To verify the export invoice against the permit as prepared by customer and attach it together with the loading.
Work closely with drivers and transporter to achieve maximum customer satisfaction.
To report any transport failures and discrepancy during delivery to immediate superior and update them into the DMR.
To perform any other duties assigned by immediate superiors.

Key Requirements:

Minimum 1-2 years related experience
Transport management/ warehousing experience
Has knowledge in Air and Sea Freight
Computer literacy

Must be able to perform multiple tasks ability to use good judgment in making decision, restructuring priorities and adjusting tasks in dynamic environment
Good meeting facilitation skills
Able to communicate and effectively work with employees at all levels of the organization
