Job summary

Businesslist is seeking a proactive Pre-Sales Technical Expert to join our Kuala Lumpur team. You will work with Account Managers to craft competitive fixed network solutions and deliver compelling technical demonstrations.

You will design end-to-end architectures, prepare proposals, and present to major operators. A customer-focused mindset and strong communication skills are essential for success in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Telecommunications, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of sales, pre-sales, or solution engineering experience in telecommunications, or 5 years in a related industry.
• Strong knowledge of fixed network technologies (FTTx, GPON, xDSL, IP/Datacom, DWDM, Mobile Backhaul, LTE, 5G).
• Experience preparing technical proposals, tenders, and customer presentations.
• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong commercial awareness with experience in business development and strategic sales planning.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the pre-sales technical expert for fixed network and transmission solutions.
• Collaborate with Account Managers and Solution Responsible teams to develop new opportunities and strengthen customer relationships.
• Understand customer requirements and develop customized fixed network solutions.
• Design and present end-to-end solutions covering fixed access, transmission, IP, and optical networking technologies.
• Prepare and review technical proposals, solution architectures, quotations, and tender submissions.
• Deliver solution presentations, technical clarifications, and demonstrations to customers.
• Support business development activities and identify opportunities to achieve sales targets.
• Promote networking solutions and strengthen market presence and brand recognition.
• Coordinate across stakeholders to ensure successful solution delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Stay updated on industry trends including LTE, 5G, SDN, Data Centres, Mobile Backhaul, xDSL, GPON, IP Networking, and DWDM Optical Networks.
