Job summary

M Resort & Hotel Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Fit Out Executive to lead retail/hospitality fit-out projects from concept to completion. You will manage timelines, budgets, and quality while coordinating with architects, contractors, and suppliers to deliver on design intent.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years hands-on experience in fit-out projects (retail or hospitality).
• Diploma in a relevant field (Construction Management, Project Management, Architecture).
• Proven expertise in project management from planning to close-out within budget and schedule.
• Strong understanding of construction management principles across all fit-out phases.
• Vendor management proficiency for sourcing, selecting, and overseeing contractors/suppliers.
• Solid experience in quality control and adherence to brand standards.
• Experience in site supervision with adherence to safety and quality on-site.
• Skilled in contract negotiation with vendors/contractors.
• Ability to conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication to liaise with teams, stakeholders, and clients.
• Demonstrated team leadership to guide project teams to achieve goals.
• Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of fit-out projects from conception to completion, ensuring timelines, budget, and quality compliance.
• Coordinate with internal teams, architects, designers, contractors, and suppliers for seamless execution and clear communication.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, identify issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Manage and negotiate contracts with vendors while upholding company standards.
• Enforce strict quality control measures to ensure design specifications and regulatory compliance.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and report status to senior management.
• Identify and assess project risks and implement mitigation strategies to avoid delays/cost overruns.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders, including site teams, clients, and regulators.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations on construction sites.
• Oversee procurement of materials and equipment ensuring timely delivery and cost-effectiveness.
