Job summary

IKHASAS Group Of Companies is seeking an experienced Manager, Fit-Out to oversee fit-out, renovation, and upgrading works across our properties and facilities in Malaysia. The role requires sound knowledge of electrical wiring, chiller plant systems, building services, and car park systems, ensuring safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, Construction Management, or related discipline.
• Strong project management, contractor coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Able to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and project specifications.
• Familiar with workplace safety standards, permits to work, and statutory requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

• Plan and manage fit-out, renovation, upgrading, and reinstatement projects from commencement to handover.
• Review drawings, specifications, and work schedules; coordinate with chiller plant systems, electrical wiring, building services, and car park facilities.
• Liaise with consultants, contractors, suppliers, tenants, internal departments, and authorities.
• Monitor progress, workmanship, costs, and timelines; ensure compliance with plans and safety rules.
• Coordinate testing, commissioning, defect rectification, and final handover.

We are seeking an experienced and technically competent Manager, Fit-Out, to manage fit-out, renovation, and upgrading works across the Group’s properties, chiller plant, and car park facilities.

The successful candidate must possess sound knowledge of electrical wiring, chiller plant systems, building services, property facilities, and car park systems to ensure all work is delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and manage fit-out, renovation, upgrading, and reinstatement projects from commencement to handover. Review architectural, mechanical, electrical, and wiring drawings, specifications, and work schedules.
• Coordinate works involving chiller plant systems, electrical wiring, building services, and car park facilities.
• Liaise with consultants, contractors, suppliers, tenants, internal departments, and relevant authorities.
• Monitor project progress, workmanship, costs, and completion timelines.
• Conduct site inspections and ensure that all work complies with approved plans, safety requirements, and statutory regulations.
• Coordinate testing, commissioning, defect rectification, and final handover.
• Manage work permits, contractor access, renovation deposits, and project documentation.
• Ensure project activities cause minimal disruption to property, chiller plant, and car park operations.
• Prepare project updates, cost reports, and recommendations for Management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in fit-out, construction, facilities management, or project coordination.
• Sound technical knowledge of electrical wiring, chiller plant systems, mechanical and electrical services, property facilities, and car park systems.
• Able to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and project specifications.
• Familiar with workplace safety standards, permits to work, and statutory requirements.
• Strong project management, contractor coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Able to manage multiple projects within approved budgets and timelines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of AutoCAD would be an advantage.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Willing to travel and work beyond normal business hours when required.
