Job summary

LB ADVANCED MATERIAL ASIA SDN. BHD. is seeking a detail-oriented Finance Executive to support daily accounting and finance operations, ensuring accurate records and timely processing of transactions.

You will handle journal entries, AP/AR, reconciliations, monthly and year-end closing, budgeting support, and financial reporting, while coordinating with auditors and banks. A 2+ year background in accounting is preferred, with strong Excel skills and knowledge of Malaysian standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• At least 2 years of relevant full-time working experience in accounting or finance.
• Good understanding of general accounting principles and financial procedures.
• Familiar with AP, AR, bank reconciliation and general ledger functions.
• Basic knowledge of Malaysian accounting standards and statutory requirements.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables and financial reporting.
• Experience with SAP, QuickBooks, MYOB or other accounting systems will be an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail, organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Responsible, independent and able to work effectively with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Handle daily accounting operations, including journal entries, invoice processing, payment transactions and expense verification.
• Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR), including invoice verification, payment processing and outstanding balance monitoring.
• Perform bank reconciliations, general ledger reconciliations and other account reconciliations.
• Assist in monthly, quarterly and year-end closing activities.
• Prepare and maintain financial schedules, accounting records and supporting documents.
• Assist in preparing monthly financial statements, management reports and variance analysis.
• Monitor cash flow, payment schedules and outstanding receivables.
• Maintain the fixed asset register and ensure proper recording of asset additions, disposals and depreciation.
• Assist in budget preparation, expense monitoring and financial analysis.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax agents, banks and relevant authorities on accounting and finance matters.
