JOB DESCRIPTION
- Act as the main liaison between Contractor and Company on all financial matters under the Purchase Contract, ensuring compliance with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, GSAP) and governing financial regulations, standards, and SOPs.
- Lead the preparation and execution of annual operating plans, asset strategy budgets and project financial forecasts. Monitor station reopening (SRO) budgets and ensure FM OPEX remains within approved limits.
- Coordinate daily financial operations, including accruals, account closures, and timely submission of monthly reports, management papers, business plans, and board papers.
- Support Key Account Manager by analyzing the P&L and balance sheet, identifying performance gaps, risks, and opportunities. Develop strategies to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
- Ensure financial alignment in vendor engagements by supporting RFPs, budget planning for procurement activities, and adherence to service payment SOPs across portfolios.
- Oversee financial audits, statutory compliance, and liaise with auditors and Company Secretary. Ensure timely year-end audits and resolution of discrepancies or compliance issues.
- Provide strategic financial support to Portfolio Manager by conducting financial audits, monitoring cost-saving initiatives, and delivering training to enhance financial literacy among site teams.
- Assist Business Development with financial benchmarking and profitability checks for new acquisitions or contract renewals, ensuring alignment with company’s financial objectives.
- Drive adoption of company-approved technologies and performance-based systems; ensure accurate financial data in SAP/Oracle and proactively address concerns impacting contractual obligations.
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting, Business, or Financial Studies from a recognised institution.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in finance and facility maintenance management; prior exposure to retail petrol station operations is an added advantage.
- Proficient in SAP and Oracle system and Microsoft Office applications, with the ability to prepare reports, presentations, and business improvement plans.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain effective working relationships and communicate financial matters clearly to stakeholders and clients.
- Skilled in financial data analysis, risk identification, and providing strategic financial advice to support decision-making.
- Fluent in both English and Bahasa Malaysia with good written and verbal communication skills; computer literate.
