Job summary

MVC Resources is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead financial reporting, budgeting, and treasury for a growing group with multiple entities in Malaysia.

You will drive month-end close, consolidate results, manage cash flow, and coordinate with auditors, while developing the finance team and ensuring statutory compliance.

The role requires 7–10+ years in accounting/finance and a degree in accounting or finance, with strong Excel and ERP experience.

Qualifications

• Degree or professional qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• 7–10+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance.
• Assistant Finance Manager ready for Finance Manager step-up.
• Strong experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and audit coordination.
• Experience in group consolidation and multi-entity accounts advantageous.
• Good understanding of tax and statutory compliance.
• Strong Excel and accounting-system skills.
• Candidates from Property Development, Construction, F&B, Retail or other project-based industries welcome.
• Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Hands-on environment and ownership of finance matters.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting for the Group and its subsidiaries.
• Review financial results, consolidation and accounting treatments to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Prepare management reports and provide meaningful financial insights to support business decisions.
• Lead the annual budgeting process and rolling forecasts.
• Conduct financial analysis, modelling and commercial evaluation to support business planning.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend improvements to enhance financial performance.
• Prepare and monitor cash-flow forecasts and ensure effective cash-flow management.
• Oversee supplier payments and working capital management.
• Liaise with banks and financial institutions on banking matters and financing requirements.
• Oversee tax compliance, including tax computations, estimates and submissions.
• Coordinate with external auditors and ensure timely completion of year-end audit.
• Ensure statutory and financial reporting requirements are met.
• Maintain proper finance, corporate and statutory documentation.
• Review and improve accounting processes, systems and internal controls.
• Lead, coach and develop the Finance team.
• Ensure smooth day-to-day finance operations while maintaining strong financial discipline and accuracy.
• Work closely with other departments and management on finance-related matters and business initiatives.

Requirements

• Experience in group consolidation and managing accounts for multiple entities will be an advantage.
