Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and review of monthly management accounts and financial reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Lead and manage full set of accounts and ensure timely closing of accounts and proper maintenance of financial records.
• Manage cash flow planning, banking, and treasury activities to ensure effective liquidity management.
• Ensure tax computation, tax filing, and tax compliance are completed accurately and within deadlines.
• Perform monthly financial and variance analysis, provide commentary to management.
• Lead day-to-day finance operations and improve processes, formats, and procedures.
• Establish and maintain internal controls, financial policies, and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with MFRS/IFRS, tax regulations, statutory requirements, and Group financial reporting standards.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, regulators, bankers, and other stakeholders.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams for finance activities and undertake ad-hoc projects.

About The Role:

Our client is lookingfor an experienced Finance Manager / Senior Managerto oversee and manage the full spectrum of finance operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for financial reporting, full set of accounts, cash flow and treasury activities, tax compliance, financial analysis, and finance operations.

This role is with a large-sized organisation and will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure accurate financial reporting, effective financial controls, timely closing of accounts, and compliance with applicable accounting and tax requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the preparation and review of monthly management accounts and financial reports, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely reporting.
• Lead and manage full set of accounts and ensure timely closing of accounts and proper maintenance of financial records.
• Manage cash flow planning, banking, and treasury activities to ensure effective liquidity management.
• Ensure tax computation, tax filing, and tax compliance are completed accurately and within the required deadlines.
• Perform monthly financial and variance analysis, identify key performance drivers, and provide relevant financial commentary to management.
• Lead day-to-day finance operations to ensure efficient and consistent finance practices.
• Develop and improve finance processes, reporting formats, systems, and procedures to enhance overall finance operations.
• Establish and maintain effective internal controls, financial policies, and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with applicable MFRS/IFRS, tax regulations, statutory requirements, and Group financial reporting standards.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, regulatory bodies, bankers, company secretary, and other relevant external parties on finance-related matters.
• Monitor important deadlines and ensure all required working papers, reports, and statutory filings are completed accurately and on time.
• Work closely with internal cross-functional teams to ensure effective coordination and execution of finance activities.
• Undertake other finance-related projects and ad-hoc assignments as required by management.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5-8 years of relevant working experience in a similar capacity.
• Strong hands-on experience in closing full set of accounts.
• Hands-on experience in cash flow management and banking activities.
• Hands-on experience in tax computation and tax filing.
• Experience working in a large-sized organisation is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of MFRS/IFRS, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial management skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
