Job summary

BizAdvisor Digital in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Finance & Accounts Executive to support daily accounting operations, prepare reports, and ensure compliance with statutory requirements. You will handle invoicing, AR/AP, cash flow monitoring, and assist in month-end closing, with opportunities for professional development and a collaborative team environment.

Candidates should have a degree in finance or accounting and 1–3 years of experience, with strong Excel skills and attention to detail.

About the role

The Finance & Accounts Executive supports the finance function in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring smooth daily accounting operations. This role focuses on invoicing, accounts receivable and payable, financial reporting, and compliance with statutory requirements.

What you'll be doing

• Prepare monthly financial reports and schedules for management review.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and supporting documents.
• Assist in cash flow monitoring and payment/collection forecasting.

2. Invoicing, Accounts Receivable (AR) & Accounts Payable (AP)

• Generate and issue invoices to customers in a timely manner.
• Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments.
• Process supplier invoices and ensure proper verification and approval.
• Prepare and process payments to suppliers.
• Maintain accurate records of all receivables and payables.

3. P&L, Management Accounts & SST

• Assist in the preparation of Profit & Loss (P&L) statements and management accounts.
• Support the month-end closing process.
• Prepare and submit SST (Sales and Service Tax) reports and manage e-Invoicing in compliance with regulations.
• Ensure proper documentation for audit and tax purposes.

4. Other Duties

• Prepare ad hoc financial reports and analysis as requested by management.
• Support budgeting and forecasting exercises when required.
• Contribute to improving finance processes and workflow efficiency.
• Assist in audits, stock counts, and financial reviews.

• Degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field
• 1-3 years of experience in a finance or accounting role, preferably in a business environment
• Strong understanding of financial accounting principles, practices and reporting standards
• Proficient in using financial software and spreadsheet applications (e.g. Microsoft Excel)
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with accuracy
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
