The Accounts & Finance Executive is responsible for managing the company's day-to-day accounting and finance operations, ensuring accurate financial records, timely reporting, proper cash flow management, and compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax requirements, and statutory regulations. The position will work closely with management, auditors, tax agents, suppliers, customers, banks, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the Company's finance function.
Key responsibilities
- Handle the day-to-day accounting and financial transactions of the Company and record and maintain accurate accounting entries in the accounting system
- Prepare and process journal entries, payment vouchers, receipts, invoices, and other accounting documents
- Process supplier invoices, payment requests, and related documentation, verify invoices against purchase orders and delivery orders, and prepare payment vouchers and payment schedules
- Prepare and issue customer invoices, debit notes, and credit notes, monitor customer outstanding balances and follow up on overdue payments
- Prepare and process online banking transactions and payment instructions, perform monthly bank reconciliations, and monitor daily cash and bank balances
- Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and prepare monthly schedules and supporting reports for financial closing
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts and monitor actual expenditure against approved budgets
- Assist in the preparation and submission of applicable tax-related documents and liaise with external tax agents, auditors and relevant authorities when required
- Prepare schedules and supporting documents required for annual audit and liaise with external auditors
- Ensure accounting transactions comply with Company policies and approval procedures and monitor proper segregation of duties and financial controls
About you
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Preferably 2–5 years of relevant experience in accounting and finance
- Experience in full-set accounts, AP, AR, bank reconciliation and financial reporting is preferred
- Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Excel is required
- Good knowledge of accounting principles and financial procedures
- Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Able to work independently and meet deadlines
- Good organizational and time-management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
