Job summary

Wasco Berhad is seeking a hands-on Field Service Technician to install, service, troubleshoot, and support packaging equipment at customer premises in Malaysia. You will handle electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and control-related issues, perform preventive maintenance, and provide on-site guidance and training after installation.

The role requires traveling to Klang Valley and outstation locations, with after-hours calls as needed to ensure uptime for customers in the food and packaging sector.

Qualifications

• Hands-on field service experience with packaging machinery.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and control systems.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites and work after hours when required.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, commission, service and repair packaging machinery at customers' premises.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose basic electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and control-related problems.
• Carry out preventive maintenance and routine inspection of customers' machines.
• Attend customer service calls and machinery breakdowns and provide on-site technical support.
• Perform replacement, adjustment and repair of machine components and spare parts.
• Provide basic machine operation and maintenance guidance to customers after installation or servicing.
• Prepare service reports and maintain proper records of work completed.
• Liaise with customers and internal departments regarding technical issues, spare parts and follow-up actions.
• Travel to customer locations within Klang Valley and outstation when required.
• Attend urgent service calls outside normal working hours, including weekends or public holidays, when required.

Field Service Technician – Packaging Equipment

We are looking for a hands-on Field Service Technician to provide installation, servicing, troubleshooting and after-sales support for packaging machinery supplied by our company. This is NOT a heavy industrial or factory production machinery maintenance position. Our equipment mainly consists of commercial/light industrial packaging machines used by food, fresh produce, supermarket and related customers, such as vacuum packing machines, flow pack machines, net clipping machines, weighing/grading machines, conveyors and other packaging equipment.

Key responsibilities

Install, test, commission, service and repair packaging machinery at customers' premises

Troubleshoot and diagnose basic electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and control-related problems

Carry out preventive maintenance and routine inspection of customers' machines

Attend customer service calls and machinery breakdowns and provide on-site technical support
