Job summary

Wipro Manufacturing Services Sdn. Bhd. in Subang Jaya, Selangor, seeks a Production Technician to operate, maintain, and troubleshot filling, capping, labeling, coding, and packaging equipment.

You will support installation and start-up of new filling machines, perform autonomous maintenance, and monitor performance metrics within GMP-compliant systems. The role requires a Diploma in engineering, 2–3 years of experience in manufacturing or maintenance, and strong troubleshooting, teamwork, and

Qualifications

• Diploma in listed engineering fields.
• Experience in manufacturing, packaging, filling, or production maintenance.
• Fresh graduates encouraged to apply.
• Knowledge of TPM and Autonomous Maintenance principles.
• Basic understanding of pneumatic, mechanical, electrical, and sensor systems.
• Experience with filling, capping, labeling, coding, and packaging machines is an added advantage.
• Able to read technical drawings, machine manuals, and maintenance procedures.
• Familiar with GMP, HACCP, ISO, and workplace safety requirements.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, CMMS/SAP maintenance systems preferred).

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot filling, capping, labeling, coding, and packaging equipment.
• Support installation, commissioning, and start-up of new filling machines and technologies.
• Perform Autonomous Maintenance activities including cleaning, inspection, lubrication, tightening, and minor adjustments.
• Conduct daily equipment condition checks and record abnormalities.
• Identify and rectify minor machine issues before they lead to breakdowns; participate in machine validation and performance improvement projects.
• Monitor machine performance indicators such as speed, downtime, reject rates, and OEE.
• Ensure machine settings are maintained according to approved standards and specifications.
• Support changeover activities and reduce setup time through continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain machine history records, maintenance logs, and spare parts usage documentation.
• Follow TPM, GMP, HACCP, safety, and quality requirements at all times.
• Participate in root cause analysis and CAPA; train operators on basic machine care and autonomous maintenance.
• Work closely with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams to improve equipment reliability and efficiency.

Role: Production Technician

Key Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot filling, capping, labeling, coding, and packaging equipment.
• Support installation, commissioning, and start-up of new filling machines and technologies.
• Perform Autonomous Maintenance (AM) activities including cleaning, inspection, lubrication, tightening, and minor adjustments.

Key Requirement & Experiences

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in manufacturing, packaging, filling, or production maintenance environment.
• Fresh graduated candidate are encourage to apply
• Knowledge of TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) and Autonomous Maintenance (AM) principles.
• Basic understanding of pneumatic, mechanical, electrical, and sensor systems.
• Experience in operating and maintaining filling, capping, labeling, coding, and packaging machines is an added advantage.
• Able to read technical drawings, machine manuals, and maintenance procedures.
• Familiar with GMP, HACCP, ISO, and workplace safety requirements.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, CMMS/SAP maintenance systems preferred).
• Able to work independently and support shift operations when required.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
