Job summary
Fastems is expanding its Malaysia footprint by hiring a Service Engineer based in Penang to support maintenance and servicing of Fastems equipment nationwide. The role includes preventive maintenance, breakdown support, and installation assistance at customer sites across Malaysia.
Ideal candidates have 6–12 years in service/maintenance, experience with CNC/robotics, and fluency in English and Mandarin. Travel around Malaysia is required; driving licence is necessary.
Qualifications
- Experienced service/maintenance engineer with territory field service and frequent travel.
- Mechatronics or mechanical (automation) background with good knowledge of computer science.
- Experience in CNC, robotics, automation systems.
- 6 to 12 years of experience in a Service / Maintenance engineer role.
- Languages: fluent professional English and Mandarin.
Responsibilities
- Provide service support to Fastems customers throughout Malaysia.
- Perform preventive maintenance and attend breakdowns at customer sites.
- Maintain MMS communication with CNC controllers and recalibrate robots.
- Ensure safety-systems checks and assist installation of new capital equipment.
- Attend breakdowns and resolve customer challenges on site; perform root-cause analysis.
