Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking a field service engineer in Malacca to install, troubleshoot, calibrate equipment and perform regular maintenance at customer sites. You will travel between sites and work with hands-on tools in various environments.

Diploma or degree in engineering, 1–4 years experience, Mandarin proficiency, and willingness to travel are required. Fluent English and Bahasa Malaysia are expected, with on-site training provided.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Engineering, or a related field.
• 1–4 years of experience in Engineering (fresh graduates are welcome to apply)
• Mandarin proficiency is mandatory to liaise with supplier from China
• On-site training and hands-on experience are highly valuable.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to work outdoors or at customer/site locations, when required.
• Good communication and writing skills in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin
• Willing to travel overseas when required.

• To setup and participate in regular meetings with customer.
• To make routine visits to customers.

Job description

Field service engineers work with their hands to fix what is broken, primarily in electronic installation and scheduling maintenance and malfunctions, and most days are spent traveling from one work-site to another to resolve the electrical problems or situations that arise. They work with several types of tools and machinery in these situations, both indoors and outdoors, and most work alone or in small teams with two to three others depending on the employer.
