Job summary

Rubberex (M) Sdn. Berhad in Ipoh, Malaysia, is seeking a Factory Manager to lead multi-department factory operations. The role focuses on safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness while achieving targets in production, packing, quality, and delivery.

The candidate will oversee Engineering/Maintenance, Planning and Warehouse/Store, drive Lean and continuous improvement, and manage a large workforce with hands-on leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management or a related field.
• Minimum 8–10 years of experience in manufacturing.
• At least 3–5 years in a managerial position.
• Proven experience managing overall factory operations across Production, Packing, QA, Engineering/Maintenance, Planning and Warehouse/Store.

The Factory Manager is responsible for the overall management and performance of the factory operations, including Production, Packing, Quality Assurance, Engineering & Maintenance, Planning, Warehouse/Store and other supporting functions. The role is accountable for ensuring the factory operates safely, efficiently and cost-effectively while achieving production, packing, quality, delivery, productivity, manpower and cost targets.

Key responsibilities

Manage overall factory operations across Production, Packing, QA, Engineering/Maintenance, Planning and Warehouse/Store

Ensure the factory operates safely, efficiently and cost-effectively

Achieve production, packing, quality, delivery, productivity, manpower and cost targets

Provide leadership to all operational teams

Optimise resources and resolve operational issues

Ensure the factory consistently meets the Company's business and operational objectives

Requirements :

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management or a related field

Minimum 8–10 years of experience in manufacturing

Proven experience managing overall factory operations, including Production, Packing, QA, Engineering/Maintenance, Planning and Warehouse/Store

To ensure all production processes follow SOPs.

Strong knowledge of production planning, manpower management, productivity and cost control

Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen and continuous improvement

Strong leadership, problem-solving and decision-making skills

Hands-on, proactive and results-oriented approach with the ability to manage a large workforce

Experience in the rubber or glove manufacturing industry is an added advantage
