Job summary

RIMEDYNE MALAYSIA SDN. BHD. seeks a seasoned Factory Operations Manager to oversee daily plant activities in Malaysia.

You will drive production, quality, maintenance, and warehouse functions, ensure targets are met, and manage costs while leveraging Lean, 6S and ISO 9001 practices. You will lead manpower planning, training, performance management, and cross-department coordination with Engineering, Quality, and Purchasing.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in engineering, manufacturing, or related fields.
• Minimum 8 years in manufacturing with 3–5 years in a managerial role.
• Experience in factory operations, production management, and cost control.
• Knowledge of Lean, 6S, ISO 9001, and continuous improvement.
• Strong leadership and communication across functions.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee daily factory operations, including production, warehouse, quality, maintenance, and overall manufacturing activities.
• Ensure production targets are achieved according to quality, delivery, productivity, and cost requirements.
• Monitor production performance, manpower utilization, material usage, and operational costs to improve overall factory efficiency.
• Coordinate closely with Production, Engineering, Quality, Warehouse, Purchasing, and other departments to ensure smooth material and production flow.
• Develop and implement production plans, operational procedures, and continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity and reduce waste.
• Ensure all factory activities comply with company policies, safety requirements, quality standards, and applicable regulations.
• Lead and manage factory employees, including manpower planning, training, performance management, and discipline.
• Monitor and maintain factory 6S standards to ensure a clean, organized, safe, and efficient working environment.

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, Business Administration, or related fields.
• Minimum 8 years of manufacturing experience, with at least 3-5 years of experience in a managerial or senior supervisory position.
• Experience in factory operations, production management, manpower planning, inventory control, and cost management.
• Experience in electronics, electrical, metal fabrication, machinery, assembly, or related manufacturing industries will be an advantage.
• Knowledge of production planning, quality management, Lean Manufacturing, 6S, and continuous improvement practices.
• Familiar with ISO 9001 requirements, workplace safety, and manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of SQL system operation for inventory management.
• Proficiency in Chinese, English, and Bahasa Malaysia is essential for effective communication across our diverse operations.
• Experience in OT and cost control is an advantage.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Good understanding of factory operations, production processes, and material flow.
• Good communication and coordination skills with Production, Engineering, Quality, Warehouse, Purchasing, and other departments.
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills.
• Responsible, proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
• Able to manage multiple operational issues and work effectively under pressure.
• Strong commitment to achieving production, quality, delivery, and cost targets.
