Jora Malaysia is seeking a Factory Manager to oversee all factory operations including production, packing, QA, engineering/maintenance, planning and warehouse. The Factory Manager is responsible for the overall management and performance of the factory operations, including Production, Packing, Quality Assurance, Engineering & Maintenance, Planning, Warehouse/Store and other supporting functions. The role is accountable for ensuring the factory operates safely, efficiently and cost-effectively while achieving production, packing, quality, delivery, productivity, manpower and cost targets.
Key responsibilities
Manage overall factory operations across Production, Packing, QA, Engineering/Maintenance, Planning and Warehouse/Store
Ensure the factory operates safely, efficiently and cost-effectively
Achieve production, packing, quality, delivery, productivity, manpower and cost targets
Provide leadership to all operational teams
Optimise resources and resolve operational issues
Ensure the factory consistently meets the Company's business and operational objectives
Requirements :
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management or a related field
Minimum 8–10 years of experience in manufacturing
At least 3–5 years in a managerial position
Proven experience managing overall factory operations, including Production, Packing, QA, Engineering/Maintenance, Planning and Warehouse/Store
To ensure all production processes follow SOPs.
Strong knowledge of production planning, manpower management, productivity and cost control
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen and continuous improvement
Strong leadership, problem-solving and decision-making skills
Hands-on, proactive and results-oriented approach with the ability to manage a large workforce
Experience in the rubber or glove manufacturing industry is an added advantage
