Job summary

IPEX GLOBAL MANUFACTURING (M) SDN BHD in Iskandar Puteri, Johor, is seeking a facilities maintenance professional to ensure safe and efficient operation of plant equipment and building services. You will perform routine inspections, supervise contractors, and implement improvements.

The role requires a technical degree, 3–5 years in facilities management, and relevant certifications, including electrical competency for low-voltage installations.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services, Facilities Management, or a related technical field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of working experience in facilities management, building maintenance, or industrial plant operations.
• Competent Person Electrical Chargehand (Category A4) certification (Suruhanjaya Tenaga) — required to handle, operate, and supervise low-voltage electrical installations.
• Building Maintenance / Facilities Management Certification (e.g., Certified Facility Manager, CIDB Competency Certification, or equivalent)

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine checking and maintenance according to the established schedule.
• Conduct regular inspections of building structures, HVAC systems, plumbing, and general infrastructure.
• Ensure sub-contracted works are carried out according to company requirements.
• Supervise external service providers, contractors, and specialized technicians during maintenance and repair works.
• Report directly to superiors if there are any major issues or equipment breakdowns.
• Supervise, assign, and review tasks for junior maintenance technicians and cleaning personnel.
• Perform any other duties that may be assigned by superiors
