Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Facilities Manager to oversee day-to-day operations of the campus facilities, including janitorial, life-safety, engineering and general maintenance, ensuring alignment with contracts and client directives.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of commercial/industrial real estate experience, strong budgeting and contract-management skills, proficiency in MS Office, and the ability to read blueprints and operate Building Management Systems.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of relevant facility management experience in commercial/industrial real estate.
• Ability to read construction specifications and blueprints.
• Strong budgeting, contract language understanding and financial tracking.

Responsibilities

• Ensure day-to-day operations of the facility, including janitorial, life-safety, engineering, site services, and general maintenance.
• Review contracts regularly and bid out as required; verify invoices match pricing.
• Supervise maintenance programs for interior and exterior conditions.
• Respond promptly to requests for building maintenance and contract program needs.
• Compile documentation and reports: manuals, logs, invoices, and annual property reports.
• Prepare budgets, financial reports, contracts and purchase orders.
• Support capital budgets planning and five-year maintenance plans.
• Monitor insurance compliance and coordinate claims; inspect facilities and report findings.
• Foster DEI and provide work-life balance within a flexible, technology-enabled environment.
