Job summary

Winchester Interconnect (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a hands-on FA/assembly technician to build First Article samples based on customer drawings and BOMs, and to ensure workmanship aligns with IPC620 standards. The role involves coordinating with FA engineers, preparing BOMs, and creating accurate as-built CAD drawings.

Responsibilities

• Build First Article (FA) samples according to customer's drawing, BOM, customer's workmanship and/or IPC620 standard.
• Highlight to FA Engineer/ Assistance Engineer if found any discrepancy related to documentation, specification, material or any other fit, form and function issue during physical build.
• Develop part assembly process flow and determine process control spec. Fill in build info and record all data in the FA check list.
• Determine the difficulties that were facing during the FA build and work with FA Engineer for the solution and/or precaution to minimize risk during mass production.
• Design and fabricate laying jig and template for critical/ complex assembly processes to help to minimize assembly error during FA build and mass production.
• Assist Engineer to prepare Bill of Material (BOM) and First Article (FA) report as required.
• Assist Engineer to prepare accurate technical drawing, as built drawing and other related CAD drawings when required.

• Visit customer's site revise drawings accommodate changes and enhancements for preparing as-built drawing when required.
• Any other additional related functional responsibilities.
