Job summary

AME Elite Consortium Berhad in Malaysia seeks a Vessel Planning Officer to own and optimise load/discharge plans, ensuring stability and safety during operations. You will prepare vessel load plans, coordinate with agents and stevedores, and monitor execution to meet GMPH targets and timely paperwork.

The role requires leadership, strong communication across levels, and experience with Navis System, with English and Bahasa Malaysia fluency.

Qualifications

• Possess at least SPM with 3-5 years of related experience and terminal operations or Dip/Deg in Maritime Operation or equivalent.
• Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and spoken.
• Physically and mentally fit with good eyesight and leadership abilities.
• Able to communicate at all levels and familiar with Navis System.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership for vessel planning ensuring efficient, productive scheduling with due regard to stability and safety.
• Provide vessel and shipping agents with load/discharge information and required documents.
• Facilitate fast container handling and transfer services per customer requirements.
• Plan and monitor vessels to achieve GMPH targets and timely departure paperwork.
• Prepare and communicate vessel load plans and work plans to stevedoring staff.
• Control execution of the vessel operation plan and coach new planners.
• Coordinate with planning supervisors and management on planning matters.
• Perform other duties as assigned by superiors.

Job Responsibility

• Take ownership for vessel planning, which means responsible for efficient and highly productive planning with due consideration to the vessel stability and safety under load and discharge operations.
• Responsible for providing vessel and shipping agents information about the vessel's load and discharge processes.
• Facilitate fast and efficient container handling / transfer services as per customer requirement.
• Ensure vessels are planned and monitored effectively in order to achieve the target of gross moves per hour (GMPH).
• Meet vessel on arrival, to finalise and provide all loading documents, and quay crane working sequence.
• Maintain that all vessels receive final departure paperwork in a timely manner.
• Prepare and communicate vessel load plans and vessel work plans to all necessary persons in the stevedoring section.
• Control and monitor the execution of the vessel operation plan.
• Train and coach new planners in planning and problem solving.
• Communicate all planning related issues to planning supervisors and planning management.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the superior from time to time.

Job Requirements
