Private Advertiser is seeking an experienced Marine & Crew Operations coordinator based in Port Klang to monitor inbound freight, shipments and vessel arrivals, and to ensure timely delivery to consignees.
You will handle crew sign-on/off, transport coordination, documentation, and liaise with customers, origin offices and authorities. At least 3 years in shipping or maritime ops; strong MS Office skills; ability to multitask and work under pressure.
Monitor inbound freight/shipments and ensure timely arrival and delivery to consignee within the agreed timeframe.
Monitor flight/vessel arrivals and provide timely arrival updates to customers.
Coordinate accurate and timely customs declarations for final delivery.
Follow up closely with customers, origin offices, agents and relevant parties on shipment status.
Promptly report any shipment discrepancies or operational issues to customers and origin offices.
Provide professional and timely customer service.
Answer incoming calls promptly and courteously.
Prepare and submit operational reports as required.
Marine & Crew Operations
Handle crew sign-on and sign-off arrangements, including transportation coordination.
Coordinate crew transportation, airport transfers and related arrangements.
Coordinate crew change documentation, transportation and airport clearance.
Arrange and monitor crew flight/ticket requirements and be aware of flight arrangements for crew signing-on and signing-off.
Handle shipping EPDA & FDA matters relating to crew changes and PLKS.
Coordinate renewal of crew certificates/documents, including SID, COR and SSEC.
Handle crew renewal-related documentation and arrangements.
Assist with Domestic Shipping Licence (DSL) applications.
Coordinate LPK vetting inspections and FSC inspections.
Handle vessel arrival and departure clearance.
Assist with STS (Ship-to-Ship) operations and related coordination.
Assist with crew recruitment and related arrangements.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the superior from time to time.
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in shipping, freight forwarding, marine or maritime operations.
Good knowledge of vessel, cargo and crew documentation.
Experience in crew change, crew sign-on/sign-off and marine operations will be an advantage.
Familiar with Port Klang operations and relevant authorities.
Familiarity with freight/shipping documentation, customs procedures and shipment coordination.
Able to work independently and handle multiple operational matters efficiently.
Good communication, coordination and customer service skills.
Able to work under pressure and meet operational deadlines.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and general administrative/reporting work.
Willing to work beyond normal office hours when required due to vessel/crew movements.
Based at Port Klang.
