Job summary

Indah Water Konsortium Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Procurement Executive in Penang to assist in PR/PO processes, supplier selection, and tender activities.

The role involves evaluating suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring compliance with company procedures and IMS/ISO standards. The candidate should hold a Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or Engineering, with at least 3 years of relevant experience, and strong Bahasa Malaysia and English communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying or Engineering from a recognized university.
• Minimum 3 years of related working experience.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Good command of Bahasa Malaysia and English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Assist Requestor on PR creation for UO and create Purchase Orders with timely approvals.
• Monitor outstanding O&M POs and assist during GR/SES and invoicing.
• Prepare Bills of Quantities, price estimations, specifications, supplier selections and e-tenders.
• Participate in technical and commercial evaluation and negotiation to secure competitive rates.
• Create/renew contracts in SAP SRM and monitor renewal/expiry and procedures.
• Coordinate PR/PO/Tender/Auction compliance with company policies.
• Prepare/review procurement policies, procedures, checklists and guidelines.
• Support IMS and ISO systems to ensure compliance.

Job description

Assist Requestor on Purchase Requisition (PR) creation for UO.

Create Purchase Order (PO), ensuring timely approval by superior and acknowledged by vendors.

Monitor O&M PO outstanding by working closely with Requestor and assist during GR/SES and invoicing.

Assist section in preparation of relevant Bills of Quantities, price estimation, specifications, selection of suppliers/ contractors and creating e-auctions / e-tenders for related sections.

Participate in Technical and Commercial Evaluation & negotiation process to get the most competitive rate and reliable contract for O&M.

Create/renewal contract in SAP SRM system and follow up on approval and to monitor contract to ensure compliance to validity date, renewal policy and contractual procedure.

Coordinate and confirms that PR/PO/Tender/Auction exercise complies with company policies and procedure.

Prepare and/or review policies, procedures, checklist, guidelines to ensure good control in procurement activities.

To maintain/support the implementation of Integrated Management Systems (IMS) and other ISO Systems that has been accredited to the company in ensuring complying/conforming to the requirements.

Requirement:

Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying / Engineering or its equivalent from a recognized University.

Minimum 3 years of related working experience.

Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Good command of both written and spoken Bahasa Malaysia and English.

PC literate in Microsoft Office.
