Job summary

Suzuki Malaysia seeks a planning-oriented professional to support daily production planning, inventory monitoring and PSI coordination. You will work closely with multiple departments to ensure scheduling aligns with targets and operational needs.

The role requires a degree in Engineering/Business Admin/Supply Chain/Math/Operations Management and at least 3 years of related experience, with strong project-management and communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Support daily planning activities including production planning, inventory monitoring, PSI coordination and project scheduling.
• Collaborate with R&D, Production, QA, Procurement, Sales and After Sales for planning matters.
• Prepare regular planning reports and updates for management review.
• Assist in data collection, analysis and reporting for PSI meetings.

Presentable, mature, independent, and able to communicate with all levels of people.

Able to work under pressure and meet tight schedule and deadline.

Willing to work extra hours to meet operation target.

Job Summary

Responsible for supporting daily planning activities, including production planning, inventory monitoring, PSI coordination and project scheduling. The role will work closely with various departments to ensure planning activities are properly coordinated, timelines are achieved and operational requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project & Production Planning

• Assist in preparing and monitoring project schedules, production plans and ordering plans.
• Monitor project progress and follow up on key milestones to ensure activities are completed according to schedule.
• Assist in identifying schedule delays or issues and coordinate with relevant departments for corrective actions.
• Support PSI (Production, Sales & Inventory) meetings and follow up on agreed action items.

2. Inventory & Supply Chain

• Monitor inventory levels, production requirements and supply availability.
• Assist in analysing sales, production and inventory data to support planning and forecasting.
• Coordinate with relevant departments on ordering and supply requirements.
• Assist in identifying potential supply chain or inventory issues and highlight them to the superior for further action.

3. Cross-Functional Coordination

• Coordinate with R&D, Production, Quality Assurance, Procurement, Sales and After Sales departments on planning-related matters.
• Follow up with relevant departments to ensure project and planning activities are completed within the agreed timeline.
• Assist in resolving day-to-day planning issues and ensure proper communication between departments.

4. Data Analysis & Reporting

• Collect, consolidate and analyse production, sales and inventory data.
• Prepare regular planning reports, project updates and analysis for management review.
• Assist in preparing presentations and reports for PSI meetings and internal discussions.
• Monitor key planning indicators and highlight significant variances or issues to the superior.

5. Business & Sales Planning Support

• Assist in monitoring sales performance, model mix and market information to support production and inventory planning.
• Support the preparation of sales and production forecasts based on available data.
• Assist in preparing information and analysis required for business planning and management discussions.

6. Process Improvement

• Assist in improving planning processes, reporting accuracy and operational efficiency.
• Ensure planning data and reports are accurate and submitted within the required timeline.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned by Management from time to time.
