Job summary

Tiger Technology (M) Sdn Bhd in Malaysia seeks a Production Planner to develop and manage production plans. You will coordinate with production teams to allocate resources efficiently, adjust plans for disruptions, and monitor schedule adherence for ongoing orders.

Ideal candidate has a diploma, 3 years in planning, and strong MS Office skills; English and Bahasa Malaysia proficiency is required. Role based in Senawang, Negeri Sembilan.

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent in Electronics/ Electrical/ Manufacturing Engineering/ Production Management or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of working experience in Planning or Production planning.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and ability to create datasheets and documents.
• Fluent communication in English and Bahasa Malaysia both written and spoken.
• Willing to work in Senawang, Negeri Sembilan.

Responsibilities

• o Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules based on demand forecasts, customer orders, and inventory levels.
• Coordinate with production teams to ensure plans are realistic and resources are allocated efficiently by model.
• Adjust plans based on machine breakdowns, material shortages, manpower constraints, or urgent customer requests.

Material & Inventory Coordination:

• Ensure all required materials, components, and tools are available ahead of schedule for production line.
• Work with Procurement and Warehouse to monitor inventory levels and prevent shortages or excess stock.
• Issue material requisitions and track delivery timelines.

Data Analysis & Reporting:

• Track production output, order status, and schedule adherence.
• Provide daily/weekly reports on production performance, delays, and bottlenecks.
• Analyse trends to support continuous improvement in planning accuracy and productivity.

Cross-Functional Communication:

• Liaise with PMC teams on delivery dates, order priorities, and schedule changes.
• Communicate production plans clearly to supervisors and line leaders.
• Work with Quality and Engineering teams to plan around trials, engineering changes, or quality issues.
• Create short-term and long-term production plans based on customer orders and master schedule.
• Review material readiness (MRP shortages, incoming PO status, safety stock).
• Coordinate with Warehouse for kitting and material delivery to lines.
• Update daily production progress and revise schedules when issues arise (machine breakdown, quality hold, manpower shortage& so on).
• Monitor WIP and ensure FIFO practices.
• Participate in daily production meetings and highlight critical issues.
• Support NPI (New Product Introduction) builds with planning for tools, materials, and scheduling.
• Identify opportunities to improve planning processes, reduce lead time, and increase efficiency.
• Support implementation of Lean Manufacturing, Kanban, or other optimization initiatives.

Requirements:

• Diploma or its equivalent in Electronics/ Electrical/ Manufacturing Engineering/ Production Management or other related background.
• Minimum 3 years of working experience preferably in Planning Skill.
• A good level of Microsoft Office and the ability to create datasheets and other document types.
• Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively in English and Bahasa Malaysia both orally and in writing.
• A motivated person with strong work ethics and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrate application of knowledge and understanding of production planning and quality control principles.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving ability, and comprehensive coordination ability.
• Willing to work in Senawang, Negeri Sembilan.
