Job summary

Kawan Food Manufacturing Sdn Bhd is seeking a Logistics Planner to plan and schedule shipments, coordinate with third-party warehouses, and ensure timely delivery to customers.

You will maintain inventory records, analyze logistics data, and collaborate with vendors to resolve issues, while supporting route optimization and compliance with company policies.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel.
• Proven experience in logistics operations with at least 2 years’ experience.
• Strong navigation skills, communication skills (Bahasa Melayu & English) and adaptability towards sudden events.
• Cost sensitive towards transportation and route planning and other decision makings.
• Experience in managing ASRS & cold room logistic, and commercial networking is added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of ERP system and/or inventory management systems/warehouse management software.

Responsibilities

• Support efforts to optimize transportation routes to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
• Coordinate warehousing and inventory management.
• Ensure accurate inventory records and monitor stock levels to meet operational requirements.
• Communicate with third-party providers, vendors, and carriers to resolve operational issues and maintain smooth workflows.
• Follow and support implementation of safety and compliance standards in line with company policies and regulations.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to drive innovation and competitiveness in logistics operations.
• Respond to inquiries from stakeholders and assist in resolving complaints related to logistics operations.
• Collaborate with relevant team to ensure timely product delivery.
• Ensure vendor’s invoices are being processed and submitted for payment in timely manner.
• Perform any other tasks or responsibilities as assigned by HOD.
