AEON Malaysia is seeking an HR leader to guide strategic workforce planning and people management across the organization. You will partner with senior leaders to align people strategies with business goals and drive effective HR practices.

The role focuses on coaching, policy development, and ensuring regulatory compliance while fostering an inclusive and engaging workplace. You will advance recruitment, performance management, and employee well-being efforts across teams.

Qualifications

  • Degree in HR management/Business Management or related field.
  • Strong leadership and communication abilities.
  • Analytical, proactive, and detail-oriented.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Retail experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate weekly or bi-weekly HR meetings with business leaders and provide HR guidance.
  • Stay updated on employment laws and ensure compliance in people management.
  • Advise on HR processes, policies, and workforce planning.
  • Assist in performance management, mentoring, career planning, and coaching.
  • Support change management and organizational design initiatives.
  • Contribute to recruitment strategies and employee experience improvements.
  • Address conflicts and help maintain a positive working environment.
  • Handle additional duties as assigned.

To assist in the preparation of strategic workforce planning: ensure the company's workforce has the right size, shape, cost, and agility for the future.

2. Coaching and consulting leadership about HR matters

To coordinate Conduct weekly or bi-weekly meetings with business leaders and provide HR advice where necessary .

Be up to date on employment laws and regulations, as well as other legal requirements regarding people management, to help leaders ensure compliance.

Guidance on the creation and implementation of HR processes and policies.

3. Building a competitive organization

To assist in conducting day-to-day performance management guidance to line managers (for example mentoring, career planning, coaching, etc.).

To assist in helping line managers deal with organizational, people, and change-related issues.

To assist in optimizing organizational design to increase productivity and improve performance of the business.

To assist in collaborating with other HR team members on implementing innovative and inclusive recruitment strategies.

4. Being a company culture and employee experience champion

To assist in providing advice and suggestions for culture-related initiatives, such as cultural transformation.

To assist in HRM interventions on employee wellness, diversity and inclusion, or talent management.

To assist in working together with management and personnel to solve conflicts and help facilitate positive employee relations, maintain a good working environment, build morale, and decrease unwanted tumover.

5. Additional Duties and Responsibilities:

The employee may be required to perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by their supervisor or management.

Assignments may vary based on business needs, operational priorities, and organizational changes. Job Requirements:

Degree in human Resources management/Business Management, or other related Degree or Minimum Diploma in Business Administration or related Diploma.

Demonstrated strong leadership skills, excellent communication skills, analytical skills, problem-solving skills, proactive nature, excellent interpersonal skills, meticulous attention to details, highly organized and good people skills.

Good to have: Retail industry related experience.
