Job summary

Hartalega Holdings Berhad in Malaysia is seeking an Executive/Engineer - Quality Assurance Plant (QAI & PSI) to support QA oversight of in-process and pre-shipment inspections, ensuring adherence to AQL, regulatory and customer requirements.

The role involves reviewing QA documentation, supervising inspection staff, conducting internal audits and CAPA, and coordinating external inspections and SCAR actions to sustain product quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science/Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment or fresh graduates accepted.
• Quality control and troubleshooting tools and techniques.

Responsibilities

• Oversee in-process (QAI) and pre-shipment (PSI) inspections to ensure compliance with AQL and customer standards.
• Identify and resolve deviations from QA procedures; escalate issues as needed.
• Review, maintain, and update QA documentation (SOPs, WIs, forms, records) for audit readiness.
• Supervise inspection staff and packaging inspection teams; provide training and evaluations.
• Conduct internal audits, RCA, and lead CAPA processes to address nonconformities.
• Monitor defect/failure trends; implement corrective/preventive actions with teams.
• Review and approve product disposition when QA Manager is absent; ensure timely release of conforming products.
• Oversee incoming packaging material inspections; liaise with suppliers on quality issues; manage SCAR.
• Coordinate external inspections, customer audits, and sterilization dose audits.
• Enforce control of inspected goods, equipment calibration, and tools/facilities for safe operations.

Job Description

Job Purpose

Assist the QA Manager in overseeing in-process inspections, pre-shipment inspections, and incoming packaging checks to ensure consistent product quality. This role supports effective implementation of quality systems and compliance with specifications, regulatory standards, and customer requirements.

Responsibilities

• 1. Oversee in-process (QAI) and pre-shipment (PSI) inspections to ensure compliance with AQL, regulatory, and customer standards.
• 2. Identify and resolve deviations from QA procedures, escalating issues to Production or other stakeholders as needed.
• 3. Review, maintain, and update QA documentation (SOPs, WIs, forms, and records) to ensure accuracy and audit readiness.
• 4. Supervise inspection staff and packaging inspection teams, ensuring competency through training, guidance, and regular performance evaluations.
• 5. Conduct internal audits, root cause analysis (RCA), and lead CAPA processes to address nonconformities and drive continuous improvement.
• 6. Monitor defect and failure trends from QAI/PSI, collaborate with Production and suppliers, and implement corrective/preventive actions.
• 7. Review and approve product disposition in the absence of the QA Manager, ensuring timely release of conforming products.
• 8. Oversee incoming packaging material inspections, liaise with suppliers on quality issues, and manage SCAR processes.
• 9. Coordinate and support external inspections, customer audits, and sterilization dose audits.
