Job summary

Hartalega Holdings Berhad in Malaysia is seeking an Executive - Health, Safety and Environment (Operations) to plan, coordinate and implement HSE measures ensuring a safe, healthy and compliant workplace that meets targets and legal requirements.

You will verify compliance with OSHA, EQA, PTW, ISO 45001/ISO 14001, lead incident investigations, conduct inspections, organize trainings and drills, and promote a culture of continuous safety improvement across plant and office environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Health, Safety and Environment or a related field.
• Fresh Graduate or up to 1 year of HSE-related experience.
• Knowledge of HSE regulations, standards, and PTW/HRP systems.

Responsibilities

• Verify workplace compliance with OSHA, EQA, PTW, High-Risk Permits, and ISO 45001/ISO 14001 requirements.
• Liaise with DOSH and related authorities, address citations, and update safety policies to prevent recurrence.
• Lead incident investigations, perform root-cause analysis, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Conduct regular inspections of plant, office, safety systems, firefighting equipment, housekeeping, pest control activities, and scheduled-waste handling.
• Organize HSE trainings and drills, including fire, chemical spill, and first-aid exercises, and document all training activities.
• Respond to emergencies and operate safely under special conditions such as work at height or confined/pressurized environments.
• Manage facility cleanliness, hygiene, landscaping, and maintenance, and track defects through the CMMS system.
• Train employees on HSE practices and promote a culture of continuous safety improvement.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to drive safety awareness and regulatory compliance.
• Perform additional HSE-related duties assigned by the superior within the department’s scope.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Health, Safety and Environment or a related field.
• Fresh Graduate or 1 year of working experience in similar HSE-related roles (preferred).
• Knowledge of HSE regulations, standards, and Permit-to-Work systems (PTW/HRP).
• Ability to conduct inspections, audits, incident investigations, and risk assessments.
• Understanding of emergency response procedures, fire safety oversight, and HSE training requirements.
