Job summary

Hartalega Holdings Berhad is seeking a Supervisor - Engineering (Control & Instrumentation) to lead the CNI team, ensuring safe, reliable and efficient plant operations. You will drive performance through coaching, manage maintenance activities, and ensure compliance with SOPs and quality standards.

The role requires PLC experience (Siemens preferred), supervision background, and hands-on technical skills in control systems.

Qualifications

• Certificate or Diploma in Electrical/Electronics, C&I, Mechatronic or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years working with PLC (preferably Siemens) and instrumentation.
• Experience supervising a team in manufacturing or similar environment.
• PLC troubleshooting, wiring/loop drawing and programming experience.

Responsibilities

• Enforce compliance with ISO 9001/GMP, safety standards, and SOPs.
• Plan workflow, rosters, and task delegation for the CNI team.
• Lead breakdown rectification and scheduled maintenance activities.
• Supervise installation, testing, and calibration of control systems.
• Prepare reports on attendance, shift handovers, and maintenance data.

Job Description

Job Purpose

Lead and supervise the Control and Instrumentation (CNI) team to maintain safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations in compliance with SOPs, regulations, and quality standards. Drive team performance through coaching and structured guidance while sustaining and improving control systems and instrumentation. Promote SHIELD values, ESG initiatives, 5S practices, and operational excellence culture.

Responsibilities

• 1. Enforce compliance with company rules, ISO 9001/GMP, safety standards, COVID SOPs, 5S, LOTO, and maintenance/repair procedures.
• 2. Plan and organize workflow through duty roster, work schedules, task delegation, and project assignments.
• 3. Execute breakdown rectification and scheduled maintenance (21 days, 45 days, AM, and line stoppages).
• 4. Lead installation, testing, qualification, and calibration of control systems and instrumentation.
• 5. Supervise operational activities to achieve safe, timely, and effective maintenance and repair work.
• 6. Verify and approve documentation including maintenance checklists, spare parts control, and compliance records.
• 7. Drive continuous improvement actions in breakdown reduction, preventive maintenance, rejection control, and 5S.
• 8. Build a motivating work environment by coaching, evaluating performance, and developing personnel skills.
• 9. Prepare and submit reports on attendance, shift handovers, breakdown details, and measurement data.
• 10. Collaborate with inter-departments, contractors, and suppliers to resolve issues, coordinate maintenance, and manage spare parts and tools.

Qualification and Experience

• 1. Certificate/ Diploma in Electrical/Electronics, Control and Instrumentation, Mechatronic or equivalent.
• 2. Minimum 2 years working with PLC (preferably SIEMENS) and instrumentation
• 3. Have supervisory experiences.
• 4. Preferably with working experience in manufacturing or similar industry
• 5. PLC troubleshooting, wiring/loop drawing and programming.
