Job summary

Hartalega Holdings Berhad in Malaysia is seeking a Supervisor - Engineering (Plant & Process) to lead breakdown and preventive maintenance across production facilities, QA areas, and warehouses.

You will guide the maintenance team, plan annual schedules, troubleshoot machines, liaise with contractors, monitor budgets, and drive improvements to equipment efficiency while upholding safety and ISO standards.

Qualifications

• Certificate or Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Preferably with glove-manufacturing or related industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical and mechanical breakdown maintenance, preventive maintenance, and improvement projects across NGC premises (production, QA, warehouse, compounding).
• Lead and manage the maintenance team to drive efficiency, productivity, and teamwork.
• Plan and execute annual maintenance schedules, delivering tasks on time with minimal downtime.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and modify machines and equipment to maintain high reliability.
• Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and government officers on projects, audits, and improvement activities.
• Monitor and control expenditure to remain within budget allocations.
• Drive improvement of overall equipment efficiency (OEE) and implement innovative solutions to reduce frequent breakdowns.
• Enforce safe work practices, including strict application of LOTO and compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Maintain proper documentation and records (checklists, reports, ISO compliance files) for audits and operational tracking.
• Rectify customer complaints, provide feedback to superiors, and submit accurate daily reports.
