Job summary

Hartalega NGC Sdn Bhd is seeking an Executive in Quality Assurance (Quality Engineering) to monitor SPC data, maintain control plans, and support DOE and MSA studies, ensuring accurate data and reliable manufacturing processes.

The role requires a degree in engineering/quality fields and up to 1 year of relevant experience, with proficiency in Excel, Minitab, JMP, and quality tools. Strong attention to detail and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Statistics, Quality, Manufacturing, Science, or related discipline.
• Entry-level to 1 year of experience in manufacturing, Quality Engineering, quality control, or process improvement.
• Basic understanding of SPC, process variation, control charts, process capability, and introductory statistics.
• Ability to collect, validate, analyze, and present data using Excel, Minitab, JMP, or similar tools.
• Familiarity with Control Plans, PFMEA, MSA, DOE, RCA, and the 7 Quality Control Tools.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to complete internal SPC training and competency assessment.
• Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt or equivalent exposure is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain approved Control Plans, control limits, reaction plans, and related Quality Engineering records.
• Collect, validate, and organize process and inspection data accurately.
• Generate and monitor established SPC charts for process stability and compliance.
• Identify out-of-control conditions, apply defined reaction plans, and elevate issues promptly.
• Perform routine process capability analyses, including Cp, Cpk, Pp, and Ppk, under appropriate guidance.
• Support shop-floor execution and data collection for DOE and process-optimization activities.
• Support MSA studies, including Gage R&R and attribute measurement evaluations.
• Update quality dashboards and KPIs to support routine data-driven decisions.
• Assist with data-system setup, basic root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous-improvement activities.

EXECUTIVE - QUALITY ASSURANCE (QUALITY ENGINEERING)

To execute and maintain established Quality Engineering controls by monitoring statistical process control (SPC) data, maintaining control plans and limits, supporting process capability, Design of Experiments (DOE), and Measurement System Analysis (MSA) studies, ensuring data accuracy, and escalating process instability to sustain capable and reliable manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain approved Control Plans, control limits, reaction plans, and related Quality Engineering records.

Collect, validate, and organize process and inspection data accurately.

Generate and monitor established SPC charts for process stability and compliance.

Identify out-of-control conditions, apply defined reaction plans, and elevate issues promptly.

Perform routine process capability analyses, including Cp, Cpk, Pp, and Ppk, under appropriate guidance.

Support shop-floor execution and data collection for DOE and process-optimization activities.

Support MSA studies, including Gage R&R and attribute measurement evaluations.

Update quality dashboards and KPIs to support routine data-driven decisions.
