Job summary

Hartalega Holdings Berhad in Malaysia seeks a Reliability Engineer to strengthen plant asset reliability, maintenance effectiveness and operational performance by executing reliability engineering activities, analyzing equipment performance, and driving maintenance optimization programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronic Engineering, or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of plant maintenance experience in manufacturing or industrial settings.
• Knowledge of Industry 4.0 (IoT/Automation), GMP.
• Understanding of mechanical and electrical plant systems (motors, pumps, piping, utilities).
• Experience in maintenance planning and execution.
• Ability to read technical drawings, P&IDs, and electrical schematics.
• Familiarity with plant safety standards and operational controls.
• Skilled in troubleshooting and technical problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze equipment reliability, availability, and maintenance performance, and report KPIs.
• Lead troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis for equipment failures.
• Develop and optimize Preventive Maintenance (PM), Condition-Based Maintenance (CBM), and Predictive Maintenance (PdM) programs.
• Identify and implement reliability improvement and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Utilize CMMS and maintenance systems to manage maintenance data, equipment history, and performance reporting.
• Provide technical support to Maintenance, Operations, and Engineering teams on reliability-related matters.
• Support equipment commissioning, upgrades, modifications, and improvement projects.
• Ensure maintenance and reliability activities comply with Safety, GMP, ISO 9001, and company requirements.
• Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and cross-functional teams to resolve equipment reliability issues.
• Mentor Engineers and Technicians on reliability practices and problem-solving techniques.

Job Purpose

• To support plant asset reliability, maintenance effectiveness, and operational performance by executing reliability engineering activities, analyzing equipment performance, driving maintenance optimization initiatives, and implementing reliability improvement programs.
• The role provides technical expertise in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, preventive and predictive maintenance, asset performance monitoring, and maintenance system utilization to improve equipment availability, reduce failures, and enhance operational efficiency.
• The position also supports compliance with company standards, ISO 9001, GMP, safety requirements, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to achieve reliability and business objectives.

Responsibilities
