Mewah Group is seeking an Executive II, Accounts to join our Finance team in Malaysia. This role focuses on financial reporting, accounting compliance, taxation, audit coordination, and management reporting while ensuring adherence to accounting standards and company policies.
You will prepare monthly management accounts, support closing activities, coordinate with tax agents and auditors, and contribute to process improvements and finance automation.
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Executive II, Accounts to join our Finance team. This role is responsible for financial reporting, accounting compliance, taxation, audit coordination, and management reporting while ensuring adherence to accounting standards and company policies.
Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts and quarterly group reporting packages.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, statutory requirements, tax regulations, and internal SOPs.
Support month-end and year-end closing activities and ensure accurate general ledger records.
Coordinate with tax agents, auditors, and regulatory authorities on tax and audit matters.
Prepare audited financial statements and ensure timely completion of statutory reporting.
Perform financial analysis, including budget variance, overhead analysis, inventory aging, and forex reporting.
Prepare and submit reports required by Bank Negara Malaysia and government agencies.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and support finance automation initiatives.
Assist with ad hoc assignments and projects as directed by Management.
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
Minimum 1 to 3 years of relevant accounting or finance experience.
Knowledge of financial reporting, accounting standards, taxation, and SST requirements.
Experience in preparing full sets of accounts is preferred.
Group consolidation experience will be an added advantage.
Familiarity with ERP systems such as Navision/Domain is an advantage.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
