Job summary

KPJ Healthcare Berhad seeks a skilled finance professional to manage tax computations, TIP compilation, and GL accuracy to optimise tax savings. The role covers cash management, AP processes, quality improvements, and liaison with auditors and authorities to ensure compliant, efficient financial operations.

The incumbent will participate in 5S/QE activities, ABMS and BCM initiatives, and uphold KPJ standards. Minimum 5 years in healthcare finance with a Bachelor of Accounting is required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Bachelor of Accounting.
  • Preferred professional accounting certification (ACCA/CIMA/CPA Australia, MBA or equivalent).

  • Familiar with Malaysian accounting standards and tax acts.

Responsibilities

  • Perform monthly and yearly tax and deferred tax computation.
  • Assist the compilation of annual Taxation Information Package (TIP) for the appointed tax agent.
  • Ensure the accuracy of general ledger (HITS2) to optimise tax savings.
  • Perform reconciliations for cash, cheque and bank with timely identification and resolutions of discrepancies.
  • Prepare monthly cash flow statement and manage REIT dividend receivable.
  • Involve in quarterly stock take activities as an auditor.
  • Oversee Accounts Payable: check key-in and payment listings before submission.
  • Document and review policies to align with KPI’s and quality initiatives.
  • Communicate with auditors, bankers, tax agents, suppliers and authorities to ensure smooth operations.
  • Participate in 5S / QE activities and adhere to KPJ standards (SPP).
  • Engage in ABMS, BCM exercises and related trainings.

Job description

  • Perform monthly and yearly tax and deferred tax computation
  • Assistthe compilation of annual Taxation Information Package (TIP) for the appointed tax agent.
  • Ensure the accuracy of general ledger (HITS2) tooptimizetax savings.

Cash Management

  • Perform reconciliations for cash, cheque and bank withtimelyidentification and resolutions of any discrepancies
  • Perform bank-in register for cheque in-hand transactions
  • Verify refund transaction in HITS by various payment mode namely by cash,cardand cheque
  • Check refundnotefor verified refund transaction
  • Check MPOS transactions with its supporting documents
  • Authorised personnel for opening safe box (passcode holder)
  • Prepare monthly cash flow statement
  • In-charge of REIT dividend receivable from Al-AqarHealthcare REIT

Material Management

  • Involve in the quarterly stock take activities for hospital as an auditor

Account Payable

  • Account Payable: Check key-in listing and payment listing before submission to CentralisedPayment Services (CPS), Finance Group

Quality Improvement

  • Ensure successful implementation of all KPI’s, corporate initiatives and quality projectsinitiatedby Management.
  • To document, implement and regularly review the policies and procedures for the services in liaison with the Management.

Liaison with external parties

  • Effectively communicate and collaborate with auditor, banker, tax agent, valuer, authorities,suppliersand relevant stakeholders to address their inquiries, provide necessary information, andfacilitatea smooth flow of business activities.
  • To carry out other relevant duties as an employee as stipulated in Occupational Safety and Health Act.

  • Conformance to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, MSQH Hospital Accreditation Standard and KPJ requirements.
  • Ongoing updates and implementation of action plan if any.
  • Ensure all policies and procedures of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO45001and MSQH Hospital Accreditation Standard are adhered to and recordsmaintained,if and when these programs are implemented.
  • Conformance to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO45001and MSQH Hospital Accreditation Standard.
  • Prompt and effective action in taking correction and corrective measures in ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO45001and MSQH Hospital Accreditation non-conformity report (NCR) and or opportunity for improvement (OFI).
  • Achievement of satisfactory performance on the external and internal audits.

Participate in 5S / QE activities

  • Responsible and accountable to carry out all 5S activities as per directed by the Management.

Ensure adherence to The KPJ Way / Standard People Practice (SPP)

  • Toensure compliance at all points of engagement with patients/ customers/ guests at all times.
  • Toparticipateand to support all activities pertain to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 including the commitment tocomply withlegal requirements.
  • Compliance with related policies & procedures,instructionsand legal requirements.

Involvement in Anti-Bribery Management System (ABMS) exercise inclusive of training,awarenessand documentation

  • Every employee is responsible and accountable for adopting KPJ Anti-Bribery Management System (ABMS) within their work environment.
  • Involvement in Business Continuity Management (BCM) exercise inclusive of Business Impact Assessment (BIA) and or Business Continuity Plan (BCP) and or exercise (drill) and or other documentation.

Education:

MinimumBachelor of Accounting
