Job summary

KPJ Healthcare Berhad in Malaysia seeks a detail-oriented Billing Clerk to enter patient charges, verify bill accuracy, and support discharge processing. You will interact with patients and staff, ensuring timely and correct billing at every step.

Responsibilities include generating bills, collecting payments, reconciling letters of guarantee, and coordinating deferred payments where needed. Knowledge of KCIS is a plus and a Diploma holder with 1 year of experience is welcome.

Qualifications

  • Minimum: SPM/Diploma.
  • Experience: Preferably 1 year in relevant billing/finance.
  • Able to interact with patients and staff with professional conduct.

Responsibilities

  • Enter charges related to the patient’s treatment.
  • Check with other services to ensure charges are captured before discharge.
  • Ensure billing is accurate.
  • Attend to patient queries regarding the bill/charges.
  • Generate patient’s bill and collect payments.
  • Reconfirm Guarantee Letters, validity period, coverage limit.
  • Arrange deferred payment after approval from authorized personnel.
  • Prepare daily collection report and ensure tallies with the report.
  • Responsible for the safety of the collections.

Job description

  • To handlingpatientsat counter whether for enquiry or hospitalization.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Responsible to enter charges related to the patient’s treatment.
  • Responsible to check with other services and to ensure that all charges have been properly taken up before patient is discharged.
  • To check and ensure that billing is done accurately.
  • To attend to patient’s queryregardingthe bill/charges.
  • Responsible to generate patient’s bill and to collect all payments.
  • To reconfirm all Guarantee Letters, validity period, coverage limit.
  • To arrange the agreement of deferred payment after approval from authorized personnel.
  • To prepare daily collection report and ensure collections tally with the report.
  • Responsible for the safety of the collections.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Toparticipateactively in any other new service that is introduced by the organization.
  • Comply withCompany Policies,Healthand Safety Policies.
  • Ensure conformance to all policies and procedures of ISO 900:2015, ISO14001:2015, OHSAS 18001:2015, HALAL, Malaysian HospitalAccreditationStandards.
  • Ensure adherence to Standard Service Practice (SPP) at all times.
  • Ensure adherence to related legal requirement.
  • Provide processes that support patients and family rights during care regardless of age, race, language,religionand social status.
  • Adopt and practices that Patient Safety Goals as safety improvement measures recommend by World Alliance for Patient Safety (2008).

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

  • Minimum:SPM/Diploma.

Experience Required:

  • Minimum:Preferably 1yearsrelevant working experience.
