Job summary

QI Group is seeking a detail-oriented Material Master Data Specialist to manage master data in the ERP system, supporting supply chain, procurement and finance. The role involves ensuring data accuracy, cleaning records, and updating product details.

It also includes 10–15% replenishment work and acting as back-up during maternity leave starting in June. The candidate should have a diploma or degree, 2–3 years in inventory or related areas, and familiarity with SAP or ERP systems.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Keep material master data accurate and up to date in the ERP.
• Clean up duplicates, outdated, or incomplete records.
• Merge overlapping entries while preserving history.
• Fill missing product descriptions, units, and supplier info.
• Run reports to spot data inconsistencies.
• Fix errors in product codes and names.
• Review vendor records and flag inactive suppliers.
• Track pending or incomplete purchase orders.
• Assist with material setup across locations.
• Support batch management and data categorisation.
• Maintain data confidentiality and document proper procedures.
• Assist with system-related tasks and ad hoc assignments.

Job description

We’re looking for a detail-oriented individual to support our team in managing material master data. This role goes beyond basic admin tasks - you’ll be responsible for maintaining accurate and reliable data in our ERP system, which plays an important role in supporting day-to-day operations across supply chain, procurement, and finance.

This role will also include some involvement in replenishment activities (around 10–15% of the scope), and the person will step in as backup support for the team during a maternity leave period starting in June. Because of this, we’re ideally looking for someone who has some familiarity with inventory, materials management, or working within ERP systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Keep material master data accurate and up to date in the system
• Clean up duplicate, outdated, or incomplete records
• Combine overlapping entries while retaining important historical information
• Fill in missing details such as product descriptions, units, and supplier info
• Run and review reports to spot inconsistencies or data issues
• Fix errors in product codes, naming, and other key fields
• Review vendor records and flag inactive suppliers
• Track and follow up on pending or incomplete purchase orders
• Support setup of materials across different locations
• Assist with batch management and data categorisation
• Ensure proper documentation and maintain data confidentiality
• Help out with system-related tasks and ad hoc assignments when needed

What we’re looking for

• Diploma or degree in a related field
• Around 2–3 years of experience in inventory, purchasing, materials planning, or similar areas
• Some hands-on experience with SAP or other ERP systems would be a strong advantage
• Strong attention to detail and a careful approach to handling data
• Comfortable working with Excel and other Microsoft Office tools
• Able to communicate clearly and work well with different teams

This is a 1-year contract role, with the possibility of extension depending on performance and business needs.
