Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a maintenance technician to perform daily electrical and electro‑mechanical maintenance across production equipment in Bayan Lepas. You will work to minimize downtime and support safe, reliable plant operations.

Requirements include a Diploma/Certificate in Electrical/Electronics or equivalent, 2–3 years’ hands‑on experience in equipment maintenance, and hands‑on familiarity with vacuum pumps, vacuum ovens, heating plates and dust collection systems.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Certificate in Electrical/Electronics or equivalent
• 2–3 years working experience in equipment and preventive maintenance
• Experience with vacuum pumps, vacuum oven, hot plate heater, dust collector unit and equipment
• Experience in electrical troubleshooting work and rewiring new unit
• Experience in maintaining a wide variety of electro‑mechanical equipment
• Familiar with thermocouples and temperature measurement, SSR, SCR unit, heating element, oven and melting system

Responsibilities

• To identify and perform all daily maintenance activities on equipment and carry out improvement projects to reduce downtime and ensure safety
• To ensure all daily checklist and preventive maintenance checksheets are properly recorded and performed
• To liaise with contractors/vendors to ensure understanding of installation works and contract requirements
• To monitor vendors performing maintenance service works and report deviations for action
• To ensure tools, equipment and spare parts are stored, cleaned and handled on a first‑in first‑out basis
• To assist with ISO9001/ISO14001/ISO45001 requirements and related SOPs

Diploma/Certificate in Electrical (Chargeman, Wireman PW1, PW2, PW3, PW4)/Electronics/Microelectronics/Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering, Pneumatic or equivalent

2-3 years working experiences in equipment and preventive maintenance

Experienced with vacuum pumps, vacuum oven, hot plate heater, dust collector unit and equipment

Experienced in electrical troubleshooting work and rewiring new unit

Experienced in maintaining a wide variety of electro-mechanical equipment

Familiar with thermocouples and temperature measurement, SSR, SCR unit, heating element, oven and melting system

Responsibilities:-

• To identify and perform all daily maintenance activities equipments and carry out improvement projects in order to reduce downtime & to achieve good safety practised for the equipment operation
• To ensure all daily checklist and preventive maintenance checksheets are in proper recorded and performed in accordingly
• To liaise with contractors/vendors to ensure contractor/vendor are well understand on the installation works requirement and specification accordingly to the contract agreement as provided by immediate superior.
• To monitor the work of vendors specialized engaging in maintenance service works, such as maintenance service works in cooling tower, argon gas farm, dust collector system & other service work by vendors, and require reporting any deviation to maintenance engineer/equipment manager for further action
• To ensure all tools, equipment, consumable items and spare parts are properly stored, cleaned and handle based on first-in first -out basis. Maintain neat work area and follow safety rules
• To assist on the implementation and maintaining all ISO9001/ISO14001/ISO45001 requirements and activities accordingly to the standard operating procedures and company policy/objective
