Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an Equipment Maintenance Technician in Malaysia to perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance on production machinery, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.

The role requires diagnosing mechanical, electrical and control system issues, maintaining PM schedules, documenting activities, and supporting machine upgrades while upholding 6S and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma or advanced diploma in a technical field is required.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Experience with Sputtering Process/Yield or related machine maintenance is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular inspections and maintenance on production machines to ensure optimal performance.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and control system issues.
• Follow PM schedule and perform routine maintenance checks.
• Document maintenance activities in PM checklists and system database.
• Assist with machine conversions/upgrades and process improvements.
• Maintain 6S standards and keep production areas clean.
• Observe safety, cleanroom protocols and company policies.

POSITION: EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform regular inspections and maintenance on production machineto ensure optimal performance.Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and control system issues.

Perform routine preventive maintenance per PM schedule.Conduct routine maintenance checks and services on all production equipment.

Document routine preventive maintenance on PM checklists, record data if applicable and maintain completed checklist/history in tool maintenance system.

Support product conversion and machine modification activities in accordance with process requirements.

Document routine preventive maintenance and unscheduled failures details on system database

Provide inputs to Shift Coordinator or Equipment Engineer to improve PM cycle-time, tool availability, quality/workmanship, reduce mediascrap and cost of ownership.

Maintain 6S standards and support cleanliness in the production line and technical areas.

Adhere to all safety regulations, cleanroom protocols, and company policies during all operations.

Support Tool Owner and Equipment Engineer for machine conversion/upgrade and improvement projects.

Candidate Requirements:

• Diploma or Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in Science, Engineering Technology, or a related technical field.
• Working experience in manufacturing environment is required.
• Working experiences in Sputtering Process/Yield / Machine Maintenance or related field would be an added advantage.
