Job summary

ByteBridge is seeking a Pre-Sales Engineer – Enterprise IT to support our growing enterprise IT and data center solutions business in Kuala Lumpur and Singapore. You will work closely with the sales team, customers, technology partners, and engineering teams to understand requirements, design suitable IT infrastructure solutions, and develop technical proposals addressing both business and technical needs.

The role focuses on solution design and pre-sales, rather than day-to-day onsite

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Network Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in IT infrastructure, solution engineering, technical consulting, or pre-sales.
• Previous experience in a Pre-Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer, Infrastructure Consultant, or similar customer-facing technical role is preferred.
• Strong technical knowledge in at least one or more of: enterprise networking (switching, routing, LAN/WAN, wireless, data center networking), server/compute, enterprise storage (SAN/NAS).
• Experience with networking vendors Cisco, Arista, Aruba, Juniper (and Dell Technologies, HPE, Lenovo, NetApp).
• Experience preparing BOM/BOQ, solution designs, technical proposals, and architecture diagrams.
• Good understanding of how networking, compute, storage, and data center technologies integrate in an enterprise.
• Strong customer-facing, presentation, and communication skills; able to explain technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
• Experience with system integrators or IT solutions providers is preferred.
• Certifications from Cisco/Aruba/Juniper/Arista/Dell/HPE are an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Understand customer requirements and translate them into IT infrastructure solutions.
• Design solutions across enterprise networking, compute/server, storage, and data center IT infrastructure.
• Prepare BOM/BOQ, technical proposals, RFP/RFQ responses, and tender submissions.
• Develop solution architectures, diagrams, specifications, and documentation.
• Conduct technical discovery sessions and perform product demonstrations for customers.
• Coordinate with vendors, distributors, and engineering teams to ensure practical, deliverable designs.
• Support proof-of-concept activities and handover to delivery teams.
• Stay up-to-date with enterprise IT, data center, AI infrastructure, and emerging trends.
