Job summary

Microvit Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Electrical & Maintenance professional to join our Gelang Patah engineering team. This full-time role focuses on maintaining electrical systems and equipment to ensure reliable production and safety.

The successful candidate will perform troubleshooting, preventive maintenance on CNC machines, and assist with installation and improvements. A certificate/diploma in Electrical fields plus 3+ years' factory maintenance experience is expected.

Qualifications

• Certificate / Diploma in Electrical, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or related field.
• Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience in factory electrical and maintenance work.
• Good knowledge of 415V electrical systems, wiring, motors, contactors, sensors and control panels.
• Experience in CNC machine maintenance and preventive maintenance is highly preferred.
• Able to read electrical wiring diagrams and troubleshoot independently.
• Knowledge of PLC, inverter/drive, pneumatic and hydraulic systems will be an advantage.
• Responsible, hardworking and able to work independently.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical maintenance for factory facilities and production equipment

What we're looking for

• Formal qualifications in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, or a related discipline (Certificate, Diploma, or Degree level)
• Proven experience in electrical maintenance and troubleshooting, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including AC/DC circuits, switchgear, control systems, and power distribution
• Competency in using electrical testing and diagnostic equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, megohmmeter, etc.)
• Familiarity with electrical safety standards and regulations relevant to Malaysia
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate documentation
• Physical capability to perform hands-on maintenance work in various industrial conditions
• Willingness to participate in continuous professional development and stay current with industry advancements
• Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) or industrial automation systems would be advantageous
