Job summary

Agro Snow Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Electrical Technician to support maintenance and reliability of all electrical systems in the plant. You will minimize downtime and ensure electrical safety and compliance while keeping accurate records.

Key tasks include preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting faults, inspecting panels and wiring, and supporting start-up/shutdown activities. A Diploma or Certificate in Electrical Engineering and 5 years' experience are required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or certificate in electrical engineering is required.
• Minimum 5 years in electrical maintenance in manufacturing/plants.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, motors, inverters, switchboards.
• Experience with LV/MV systems is a plus.
• Chargeman certification (A0/A1/A4) preferred.
• Able to work independently or as part of a team; willing to shift/overtime.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults in machinery and plant facilities.
• Inspect control panels, motors, switchboards, and wiring.
• Monitor power distribution and electrical components.
• Support plant start-up and shutdown activities.

• Work with engineers on projects, upgrades, and improvements.
• Maintain safety compliance with regulations and company policies.
• Train operators on basic electrical awareness and safety.

Job description

We are seeking a competent and hands-on Electrical Technician to support the maintenance and reliability of all electrical systems and equipment within our plant. This role is critical in ensuring smooth plant operations by minimizing downtime and maintaining electrical safety and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems and equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults in machinery and plant facilities
• Maintain and inspect control panels, motors, switchboards, and wiring systems
• Monitor and maintain power distribution systems and electrical components
• Support plant start-up and shutdown activities
• Carry out routine inspections and ensure equipment is functioning efficientlyAssist in installation, testing, and commissioning of new electrical equipment
• Ensure proper documentation and maintenance records are updated
• Work closely with engineers on projects, upgrades, and improvements
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, electrical standards, and company policies
• Maintain good housekeeping and proper use of tools and equipment
• Train operators on basic electrical awareness and safety practices

Requirements

• Diploma / Certificate in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of working experience in electrical maintenance in a manufacturing or plant environment
• Strong knowledge in:
  • Electrical systems and industrial wiring
  • Motors, inverters, and control panels
  • PLC systems (basic knowledge is an advantage)
  • Power distribution and troubleshooting
• Experience handling low voltage (LV) and/or medium voltage (MV) systems is an added advantage
• Possess Chargeman certification (A0/A1/A4) is preferred
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Willing to work shifts, overtime, or weekends when required
