Job summary

Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. in Krubong, Melaka, Malaysia is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to lead a technicians team and ensure high uptime for semiconductor fabrication equipment.

You will drive preventive, predictive maintenance and continuous improvement programs, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and oversee spare parts, calibration, and safety compliance while supporting shift coverage.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in electronics/electrical/mechanical/mechatronic engineering.
• 3–8 years of semiconductor equipment maintenance experience.
• Strong troubleshooting across electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, servo and automation systems.
• Experience with Die Attach, Wire Bond, Cure Oven or similar assembly equipment.
• Knowledge of TPM, Preventive, Predictive maintenance, FMEA and RCA.
• Familiarity with OEE, MTBA, MTBF, MTTR and continuous improvement tools.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Independent, collaborative, and able to support shift activities when needed.
• AutoCAD knowledge and project management awareness.

• Lead equipment modification, cost reduction, automation and reliability projects.
• Analyze performance data and implement corrective actions.
• Mentor maintenance technicians to build a high-performing team.

This position will be located at Krubong, Melaka in a vibrant industrial area. You will experience different exciting local cultures in this historical state.

What You Will Be Doing

• To lead a team of technicians to support company objectives.
• Ensure high equipment uptime, reliability and availability for FOL production equipment (e.g. Die Attach, Wire bond, Junction coat, cure Oven and related automation)
• Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
• Develop, optimize and execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs to improve equipment performance.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), MTBF and MTTR.
• Collaborate closely with Production, Process Engineering, Quality and Manufacturing teams to resolve equipment and process related issues.
• Support new equipment installation, qualifications, commissioning and technology transfers.
• Manage spare parts, maintenance documentation, calibration and compliance with safety and quality requirements.
• Lead equipment modification, cost reduction, automation and reliability improvement projects.
• Analyze equipment performance data and implement corrective actions to improve productivity and reduce maintenance costs.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to maintenance technicians to build a high performing maintenance team.

What You Will Bring Along

• Bachelor Degree or Diploma of Engineering in Electronics /Electrical /Mechanical /Mechatronic engineering
• Minimum 3 - 8 years' experience in semiconductor equipment maintenance, preferably in Front of Line processes.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, servo and automation systems.
• Experience with semiconductor equipment such as Die Attach, Wire Bond, Cure Oven, Junction Coat Or similar assembly equipment.
• Good understanding of maintenance methodologies including TPM, Preventive Maintenance (PM), Predictive Maintenance, FMEA, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
• Knowledge of OEE, MTBA, MTBF, MTTR, SPC and continuous improvement tools such as Lean and Six Sigma.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, mechanical drawing and equipment documentation.
• Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast paced manufacturing environment while collaborating effectively with cross functional teams.
• Willingness to support shift activities or respond to equipment emergencies when required.
• AutoCAD knowledge.
• Machine design and product technology knowledge.
• Project management knowledge
